I had assumed I'd never actually get it, but it's exactly what I hoped.įor those that don't know, the test area is basically a large map of intersecting "rally-like" roads. Then I finally picked up WRC8, and realized that they had given me exactly what I was wishing for. I kept wishing that there was something that could capture the joy of sliding through dirt roads in the forest at 90 mph, but that I didn't need to be so singularly focused on. Sometimes that's undoubtedly fun, but sometimes it's a bit of a drag that I can't really listen to music (at least not at a "vibing" volume), or watch tv, or really anything because I not only need to concentrate on staying on the road, but I need to listen and comprehend the pace notes. I've been casually enjoying rally games for a while now, but one thing that always kept me from sinking in deeper is the intense focus required.
